Raja Yoga by Rödeviken: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 18:30-20:30, on Rödeviksvägen in Vallda (down by Smarholmen)

You will learn Savasana (relaxation), Pranayama (breathing exercises), and Asanas (steady yoga postures). We always finish the class with a meditative final relaxation, and afterwards you can stay and sit for a while and enjoy a cup of tea. These are open classes so you can start whenever you wish, but I would prefer if you could call in advance and let me know the first time you come. We have class outdoors when the weather permits. Yoga Retreat, Yoga Trial Class, and Hypnosis Seminar at Långbergets Sporthotell, Northern Värmland (near Sysslebäck)

August 4th, 2010: Yoga Trial Class and Hypnosis/NLP Seminar

Yoga Trial Class: 14.00 – 16.00 (Please do not eat 1 1/2 hours before the class.) Price: 100 SEK (children 50 SEK). We will go through the 12 basic yoga asanas (a scientifically balanced set of steady yoga postures), which include the most important positions within Raja Yoga, and the benefits of each position will be explained. The class will also include a short meditation and we will end the class with a period of deep relaxation. This class is suitable for everyone over 12 years of age and it makes no difference if you have never tried yoga before.

Hypnosis/NLP Seminar: 19.00 – 21.30 (Please eat before the seminar.) Price: 100 SEK. Come and find out what hypnosis and NLP really are. Hypnosis and NLP go hand in hand, and you (unknowingly) use them every day, anyway, so you might as well learn to use your incredible power for your own good. This is an incredibly interesting subject and should definitely not be thought of as “hocus pocus.” Everyone 18 years of age or older is welcome to attend.

We will have the yoga trial class and hypnosis seminar mentioned above the day before the retreat. If you arrive August 4th you are welcome to attend the trial yoga class at no extra cost; you will, however, have to contact the hotel and book room and board for an extra night.

August 5th – 8th, 2010: Yoga Retreat

Price: 2985 SEK. (Approximately 315 euros.) This includes 3 nights accommodation in a sportsroom*, all meals, and all classes & seminars/workshops as per the schedule below.

*) “Sportsroom” means that you might share a room with one other person, that you bring linens, and that you clean the room before you depart. You can rent linens for a modest fee and if you prefer a single room there is an extra fee of 150 SEK per night.

The above schedule for this 3 1/2-day yoga retreat is quite intensive. The workshops are included but optional; however, it is recommended that you try to attend since we do cover interesting and important points. Note: We will be outdoors when the weather permits. If you have a yoga mat please bring it, but if not you can bring a blanket.

Information for all yoga students

Don’t worry if you have never practiced yoga before. It makes no difference whether you are a yoga novice or an advanced yoga practitioner, you will still benefit from these wonderful, relaxing, strengthening yoga/meditation classes. Everyone does yoga at his/her own level and there is never any competition.

Please don’t eat within 1 1/2 hours before yoga. Also, you should wear comfortable clothing that you can easily move in, such as a t-shirt and jogging pants or tights.

Meditation at naturum on Fjärås Bräcka

Meditate in nature to find your inner peace at naturum on Fjärås Bräcka. You will learn to listen to the sounds of nature, to reduce stress, and to appreciate the serenity inside you and around you. Suitable for everyone 12 years of age and up. 6 Wednesdays in a row: June 9th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th as well as July 7th and 14th, 2010, 10:30-12:00. The first class is free of charge, 110 SEK/class thereafter. If you have a yoga mat to sit on please bring it with you, otherwise bring a small blanket. You can also bring a blanket to wrap around yourself in case of chilly weather.
